Combined class

Designed for families that wish to train together, our Combined Class is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45-6:45p. Individual students must be 4.5yo. Children as young as 3 will be able to participate on a limited basis provided they have a parent in the class.

Adult class

For students, age 13 and up, our Adult Classes (starting January 2025) will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:00p

uniform & membership

Those who are accepted as formal students will be provided with a high quality, comfortable uniform, as well as membership in the Korea Dangsudo Association™.

Devaull, Sabeom

Master DeVaull, 5th Dan, has been training in Traditional Dangsudo for 33 years, and has been an instructor since 1998. He holds a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MSAOM) and is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.). He has trained with great teachers and is a proud student of Grandmaster Carlos Alayón. Master DeVaull serves as the Secretary General of the Korea Dangsudo Association, which aims to preserve and share the original methods of our art. He is a resident of Winsted, where he lives with his family, and has been a public servant for 10 years.

A traditional school with strong family values. We are HAPPY and BLESSED to train with SaBeom Nim. My son and I both train together and it's been wonderful for both of us. One of my favorite things is that as a parent you have options, you can join, you can watch, you can leave... whatever you are comfortable with. Another thing that always impresses me is how good SaBeom Nim is with young kids (as young as 4!). It never fails to impress me when he teaches these little people to do real moves. I enrolled my daughter in classes about 4 weeks ago now. SaBeom Nim has been exceptional. He's teaching traditional Dangsudo to a class with mixed ages. It's amazing watching children as young as 3 sit, listen, and follow their instructor. A no-nonsence approach with family values. He's also been teaching the Korean language as he demonstrates moves and instructs the students. SaBeom Nim is very supportive of all ages joining and very heavy on families joining together.
